A LETTER FROM DORIAN'S GRANDMOTHER TO WOBL FOR A MOTHER'S DAY CONTEST MAY 2010 My daughter is a single mom, she is 23 and has a 18mo old son who is visually impaired and also a lot of other medical problems. She is an EXCELLENT mother and has him in all his special needs programs. She also works full time. She takes him to the Cleveland Sight Center every Tuesday for a special class. He will be going one day a week to Murray Ridge School (a school for special needs children) which she will attend with him. He goes two days a week to Physical and Occupational therapy and is on the list for speech therapy. He does not walk, talk or crawl so she carries him every where he goes. I entered her in the Mothers day drawing. I would like to do something special for just her. She never goes any where or does anything without him. She needs something in her life that she can remember and feel special. She is always looking for new ways to help her son, and never once does she complain. I help her out as much as I can. She always says I would never trade him for what they call your normal child. She is fantastic with him, and if you could help me give her something special I would appreciate it. I don't have a lot of money but always make sure there is something for him to give her on these special occasions. AFTER RECEIVING THIS LETTER AND MEETING THE FAMILY LORIE WILBER, (ONE OF THE OWNERS OF WOBL) DECIDED SHE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING SPECIAL TO HELP DORIAN AND HIS MOTHER COREEN.
